This volume discusses the possible economic role of the unconventionals in North Rhine-Westphalia based on a description of the differences between conventional and unconventional deposits of natural gas. The different types of shale gas and CBM deposits that are likely to exist in NRW, are described and an attempt is made at a rudimentary assessment of their potential, this includes techniques for exploration and extraction and environmental risks.

This report describes the sedimentology, well-log characteristics and stratal geometry of the Poole Sandstone and Noonkanbah Formation, which are used to interpret depositional history controlled by global climatic changes and tectonic activity.
Report. Geological Survey of Western Australia vol.157 Pages 1-36 (2016)

The 13 contributions in this volume cover many aspects of the major changes that characterize the Ordovician Period. They build on earlier organized research efforts, in particular those of International Geoscience Programme (IGCP) projects 410 (2000–2004), 503 (2005–2010), and 591 (2011–2016), which have yielded many advances in our understanding of the Ordovician Revolution.
